If we have other terms set in a given hourly package (e.g., permanent local on-call duty), we adhere to the contract provisions.

Remote assistance means we connect to your computer or server, only with your permission, to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. In practice, it's the fastest form of IT support for common issues: configurations, application errors, permissions, email, and updates. If the issue requires a physical presence (e.g., hardware failure, cabling, Wi-Fi, server room), we revert to an on-site visit.

The simplest approach: if the problem involves hardware, the office network, printers, an on-site server, or you need training, local support is usually better. For ongoing user support, configuration, and most "here and now" issues, remote support will be faster and cheaper. Often, a mixed model is best: remote support on a daily basis, with periodic on-site visits for larger issues. If in doubt, we can help you manage this so you don't overpay for unnecessary travel.
